# Create site

POST https://api.modulards.com/api/public/v1/sites
Content-Type: application/json

Registers a website (connection pending) in the acting organization and answers with the created resource. If `uri` already belongs to a website of this organization, that existing record is reused instead of creating a duplicate.

**Body** (JSON):
- `name` (string, required, max 60).
- `provider` (string, required) - only `wp` (WordPress) is currently supported.
- `uri` (string, required, max 250, must be a reachable URL) - the website's address; cannot already belong to another organization.
- `team` (integer, required) - the team the website joins.

Answers **201** with the resource document and a `Location` header. The website starts unconnected (`connection_status: "pending"`, `is_connected: false`): finish the connection with "Create connection plugin" or "Manual connection credentials".

Requires a full-access token (read-only tokens answer 403). Validation failures answer 422 with a JSON:API `errors` document.
