# Update site favorite

PATCH https://api/public/v1/sites/{site}/favorite
Content-Type: application/json

Marks or unmarks a site as a favorite for the member owning the token. The flag is per member, not per organization.

Path variable `site` is the exact site id (e.g. `12345`).

Body parameters:
- `favorite` (boolean, required): `true` adds the site to your favorites, `false` removes it. It **sets** the state, it never toggles it, so repeating the call is a no-op.

Answers 200 with the `sites` resource document, whose attributes include `is_favorite` (the acting member's flag). A missing or non-boolean `favorite` answers 422; a site of another organization — or a member without the favorite permission — answers 404; a read-only token answers 403. The MCP twin of this endpoint is the `sites-favorite-update` tool.
